8.28.08 - The Excitement!!
so, with recent discussions about the new sound and style for the band, i've never been more excited about playing music in my entire life! you ever listen to music and it just gives you the chills? well, yeah, i got them just now! after listening to recordings of our three newest songs and of other ideas we have down, i got goosebumps listening to it and thinking about where our band is going!
i think the fans out there will really enjoy what they're about to experience when it comes to our new music and new direction. trust me when i tell you people...this blows the old stuff away!!! i feel we've moved up not just one, but a few levels with this new music and i think it will only get better now that we have a real defined and clear sound.
so, get ready rock and roll fans, this is gonna be something you're not gonna want to miss! the future of Aeonian is nothing if not bright and glorious. and we can honestly say, guiding us every step of the way will be our Lord God, giving us his vision of what he wants us to become. i feel our recent transitions and direction were given to us by him and that he wants us to share what we have with the world. so everyone, when the time comes that the new music is unleashed: sit back, relax, and enjoy!!

6.15.08 - Acoustic Work
Currently working on the acoustic tracks. Since I really don't have an acoustic bass, a little signal processing and whamo, I got the sound. I find the acoustic format allows for a lot of freedom on the bass. Our fans will not be dissapointed.

5.14.08 - A a big impact in such a small package
I got a chance to listen to the scratch tracks of the four songs we recorded guitar and drums for. It was a cool experience to sit back and just listen to what you can do with only one take. One of the songs is titled "Beautiful" The song "Beautiful" is a mini testimony into how i find myself kneeling before God in prayer and listening through the small voice for direction he wants me take in that prayer, or prayers. These days I am learning not to be selfish in my prayers. In fact I've been learning to seek God's will "more" than what I've been. In the past I found myself asking for a specific outcome of a prayer rather than lying it on the lord for His will to be done, and that I might be attentive enough to phyisically or mentally see that infact He did or is in the process of answering that prayer in a way that only God could have forseen. I just pray that I can inspire someone through this song to do the same in their own prayer life, and hopefully have it extend past their prayer life and into there daily walk with God.

5.13.08 - Blahhhhh....
Man I feel like poo today. My whole family has some sort of stomach bug. I have to force myself to eat, not fun for someone whole loves food as much as me. Please pray that we get better before our trip to florida.
We laid down the guitar and drums for the acoustic ep last night. I have to say I like the feel. We open miced the drums to get a more natural airy room sound. There are little flubs all over the place, but we are going to keep it like that so it's a bit more real. It was a little funny because I learned one of the songs right before recording it, and of course half way through the song my pick broke. I finished it anyway, when it's done see if you can hear where it broke and if it changes :) lol. Ill post more details about the EP in the news section. Im also thinking of posting some videos of us in the studio as we record as well.

5.12.08 - Florida Healing Revival
So I'm not sure if any of you reading this have noticed what amazing work God has been doing in lakeland florida, but rather than me try and explain it why don't you go see for yourself.

Anyway..I decided to take my daughter down. For those if you not in the know, my daughter suffers from a condition known as a lymphatic malformation. To learn more about it you can visit her site at www.babyraia.com. So in a supreme act of faith, we are traveling down to lakeland. There are no gaurantees, but it as an opportunity that we cannot pass up. I'd like to ask for all your prayers for healing and I pray I will be giving a huge praise report sometime on sunday when we get back (or shortly after).

5.10.08 - Inspiration
I've been praying to God a lot lately. With the whole Florida Revival happening right now, I've been really inspired to get closer to God. I really wanted to serve God somehow and I wanted it to be in music. It doesn't really matter what I want though, but God has been amazing and has given me a music ministry. After a lot of prayer, God just handed me the logo and website design. He also has given me some words of knowledge as to how we are to promote ourselves. So I am very excited about moving forward and I cannot wait to see what he has in store for us.
